This summer I spent a lot of time hanging out with my uncle. He works at the national art center in Ottawa. He came and stayed with my grandparents for a month. Well he was here we went to an escape room with my moshum while my kokum ,aunt, uncle and cousins went to Stanley mission. The escape room was really fun because we did it with my  uncle and moshum. We had a lot of fun with him because we don’t usually see him for more than a week. He was coming down for a friend of his weddings. My aunt came down about a week before the wedding. She came later because she had been at the Winnipeg fringe with a show she was managing.We were very sad when Tim went home and Laurie went to the Edinburgh fringe

When I got My dog…

Imagine your getting the dog of your dreams, You have wanted it since you were little. I was getting my first dog! We drove through the countryside until we finally got to the house were we were getting our dog. We walked in and all of a sudden we were surrounded by little black puppies. My brother and I both instantly fell in love with  a little black puppy that walked right up to the me and started licking my face. When we got in the car with our new puppy Stanley, we instantly knew that he hated car rides ( now he does not mind car rides). His crate sat in the middle of my brother and I. He whined the whole car ride home. It was a high pitch whine. My brother and I both were really annoyed with Stanley. When we finally got home after what seemed like hours in the car. My grandparents came over to meet Stanley. It was nice weather so we played with him in our backyard. My grandparents brought over a orange, leathery toy. Stanley had this one chair in our house that he always slept on. Stanley even though my brother and I hated him in the car that first trip he is the best dog ever!

How I named my unicorn…

Imagine you are getting the pet of your dreams. You have wanted it since you were little. The day that I got my first unicorn was the best day of my life.My family through the the clouds until we finally got to the space station where we would pick up our unicorn. We bounced into the space station and all of a sudden, we were surrounded by little, baby unicorns tripping over each other to see us. My brother and I instantly fell in love with a unicorn that had sparkly sparkles spread  across it’s unicorn horn. When we got into the flying car, our new unicorn Sprinkles, she started whining and made little whimpers. My brother and I were both really annoyed with Sprinkles. But Sprinkles is so cute, no one can really stay med at her for long. Soon my grandparents came over and they loved Sprinkles. They even played with her after we went to bed! My grandparents brought an alien toy with them, that they got when they visited outer space. It was an orange, leathery duck that is really pointless. Sprinkles loves it and plays with it every single day. Once it quacked out at her and she got so scared that she didn’t play with it for a week. A Week! Anyway, that’s a whole other story. That’s how we named our unicorn.

A tiny voice asked ” Is he the one?” I had been sleeping in my room when I heard the voice it immediately woke me. I got up, I looked around my room  I didn’t see anyone our anything. I tiptoed over to my bedroom window when all of a sudden there was a loud “THUMP” from the living room. I quickly But still quietly went down the hall to my parents room I slowly opened the door, I looked inside and my mom was pacing at the end of her bed. “Archie, Do you know where your father is? I had been sleeping when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise from the living room. I turned over to wake your father but He wasn’t there.” My mom said nervously. ” Mom, calm down will find dad. He may have gone down to the living room to see what the noise was let’s go downstairs and check.” I said trying to calm my mom down.

We slowly crept down the stairs, My mom turned on the lights Everything was where it was supposed to be except for there was flour all over the ground and on everything.” Mom that must have been the loud noise that we heard.” I said to My mom. We started looking around to see if there were any clues. We didn’t find anything in the living room or kitchen so we decided that we would go down to the basement. When we first got down there we could not see anything since the light had burned out the day before.

My mom went over to the cupboard to grab two flashlights but when she reached into the cupboard something grabbed her arm. She let out a loud SCREAM, I ran over to see what was wrong and when I looked into the cupboard I saw a little green and yellow slimy creature at first I thought it was just my  eyes playing tricks on me but then it reached out and grabbed my arm too. Me and my mom both started screaming until out of the corner of my eye I saw another slimy creature Except this one was as tall as me. It reached out and put his hands over me and my mom’s mouths. We both looked at each other but then a whole group of these slimy creatures appeared from the storage room they started pulling us into the laundry room. They dropped us on the floor and left leaving us in pitch black darkness.

Our eyes  had just started to adjust when we saw my dad sitting in the corner of the room we crawled over and hugged him. We were so glad to see him. ” Dad, Your okay Mom and I were so worried about you.” ” I am sorry I had you guys so worried, They came into our room well you guys were sleeping. I had not been sleeping well so I had been reading my book when they came in. They covered my mouth and pulled me out of the room. When we got down the stairs they put flour all over the floor where ever they stepped. They were talking to each other when they said that the flour destroys  the slime that they are  made of  and it gets rid of their footprints too. Then they dragged me down here and slammed the door.” My dad whispered. ” So all we have to  do is somehow sneak upstairs grab some flour and dump it on them.” My mom whispered. ” Mom and dad what if one of us goes out there and distracts them well the other two run up stairs?” I said quietly. ” That is a good idea Archie” ” Thanks dad.”

So my dad crawled up to the door and slowly opened it he then he got up and ran out the door. All of the creatures ran up and cornered him in the farthest corner of the room. My mom and I sprinted upstairs without anyone noticing except my dad. We tiptoed to the cupboard that held all the flour and grabbed a bag we then walked back down the stairs and started pouring the flour all over the creatures. Before they realized what was happening they had already started to melt, And in seconds they were all gone.

“AHHHHHH” I screamed. My dad rushed into my bedroom,” What’s wrong Archie?” My dad asked ” I just had a bad dream. We were captured by aliens and then we melted all the aliens to save our lives.”

“Ah! The wind in my hair.” beep beeeep My alarm clock just went off. I had been dreaming about cycling through Denmark on a beautiful spring day. I really want to go there because I have ancestors from Denmark. Also it is just really beautiful. Have you ever been on any trips if so where to?
